Instant gratification

Don’t get me wrong I am a big fan of online marketing but maintain a healthy scepticism at all times would be my advice. Online marketing is not the magic some would tell you it is. Just starting a blog a page of facebook or doing 5 tweets a day will not change your world that much. You also see marketing companies starting communities for their clients, well it is the fashionable thing to do. Trouble is that they expect instant gratification. It does not work like that. Just like offline you need to give these things time and change how you do things until you get it right. The great thing about online content, be that video or audio text and pictures is that you can change it. You can try something before breakfast by the end of the day see the results and adjust accordingly. So please if you are a business be in this for the long haul not the quick fix – unless it’s a one day sale that is ;)
